Valentine has experience in advising in a broad range of derivatives transactions, collateral arrangements, cross-jurisdictional hedging transactions and securitisation hedging transactions. Valentine has acted for major dealers in the derivatives markets on the implementation of margin requirements including the implementation of compliant pre and post -Brexit UK variation and initial margin arrangements.
Other work includes advising on deal-continent hedging in respect of both the M&A and project finance related deals. Valentine has experience in negotiating industry standard and broker specific documents including: 1992 and 2002 ISDA documentation; Futures (FOA) documentation and Prime Brokerage documents including custodian agreements. She also regularly helps to provide opinions on netting, insolvency and collateral enforceability for various counterparty types and bespoke structures.
